Museum Island
This is probably one of the main 10 places you should definitely know in Berlin. However don’t take the whole island as cognominal Museum Island – it should be just a northern part of it, where 5 most popular Berlin Museums are situated. This precious list contains: Pergamon Museum, Old Museum, New Museum, Old National Gallery and Bode Museum. It would be probably hard to visit them all in one day, but you can try, all depends on your goals and interests. Also you can ask for museum card at the desk in one of museums – it would save you some money if you want to visit a few of them. Museum Island is a part of protected UNESCO world heritage list.
