Temple of Athena
This old and beautiful temple of the 7th century BC is now a museum under the open sky, situated in a picturesque part of Izmir, Foca. Like most of Greek heritage this place came through hundreds of years, numerous changes of religions and regimes, several earthquakes and big wars. It is still a rich field for the science and excavations take place there from time to time. You are welcome to enter Athena Temple of Foca from 8 am till 7 pm for a token fee.
