Mary's Column
Located on Marienplatz this is quite an old monument with own history. From 1590 the statue of Mary embellished interior of Frauenkirche. But in 1638 it was moved to a square and was put on a huge base with other smaller statues. Since then a monument with beautiful golden Mary statue is symbolizing deliverance from Swedish occupation after the Thirty Years War.
